Troubleshooting
Most issues will be resolved by following the relevant steps below:
-
It is possible that either the module is not on or the volume is too low.
Resolution Steps
1) Ensure the module has some charge by leaving it in the docking cradle for an hour (ensure there is power to the docking cradle).
2) Put the docking cradle into 'Mute' mode (Red LED) by pressing the middle button on the docking cradle. If it is already red, just move to the next step.
3) Remove the module from the docking cradle (after an hour).
4) Factory reset the module by pressing and holding the bottom 2 buttons on the module until the module LED flashes 6 times.
5) Switch the module ON by pressing the top left button on the module for 2 seconds. You should hear white noise at the factory setting.
6) If you do not hear white noise, press the top left button on the module 'Volume Up' incrementally (don't hold it down) until you hear white noise. There are 60 volume steps, so you may need to press it several times until you hear white noise.
-
It is possible the module is not inserted properly, the docking cradle is in mute mode (RED LED) or the volume is not loud enough.
Resolution steps:
1) Lift the module from the docking cradle and re-insert ensuring a firm connection is made. The LED will turn from GREEN to either be BLUE or RED.
2) If the LED is RED (mute mode), press the middle button on the docking cradle and the light should turn BLUE.
3) Press the right hand button (Volume Up) on the docking cradle until you can hear white noise.
-
When you dock the module, the device enters nightime mode. When you remove the module from the dock, it reverts to daytime mode.
If there is sound when docked and it stops when the module is removed, it is likely that the daytime volume on the module is not high enough.
Resolution steps:
1) Place the module in the docking cradle.
2) Ensure the docking cradle LED is BLUE. If it is RED (mute mode) , press the middle button on the docking cradle so that it tuns BLUE.
3) Remove the module from the docking station.
4) If you do not hear white noise, press the top left button on the module 'Volume Up' incrementally (don't hold it down) until you hear white noise. There are 60 volume steps, so you may need to press it several times until you hear white noise.
